Geography.
Situated on the south west coast of the island these once desolate and baron slopes are now home to one of Europe’s most visited tourist Mecca’s, the infamous Playa De Las Americas. Built in the 1960’s, bordering on Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje its unique microclimate offers unparallel clear skies and a constant fresh breeze to curtail the often high temperatures. Due to its geographic location and south westerly position it offers impressive views of the adjacent Gomera Island and, at certain times of year, the island of La Palma´s (not to be confused with Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) twin mountainous range can be seen on the horizon.
